PVTsim is a PVT simulation package for use by PVT laboratories and in reservoir and flow assurance studies. The PVTsim full package contains all the modules needed to input, validate, tune, and export fluid descriptions as well as the modules needed for flow assurance studies, including the PVTsim wax deposition pipeline simulator - DepoWax and the allocation module. It also includes the open structure flash and hydrate modules.

 

 

The full package allows the user to input and characterizes fluid compositions in PVTsim. The compositions can then be quality checked using the QC module. If needed the fluid compositions can be tuned to match measured PVT experiments. The resulting fluid descriptions can then be exported to the desired reservoir simulator or be used to investigate the risk of solid precipitation. The open structure modules allow the users to implement their own custom applications.
